This Code of Condact defines the principals and basic requirements of SM Weber and their suppliers und subcontractors concerning their responsabilities towards human beings and environment.

We hereby declare:
Legal compliance

  We will comply with the laws and our binding obligations.

Prohibition of corruption and bribery

  We don’t tolerate any form of corruption or bribery and we won’t participate in any direct or indirect form.
  We won’t offer, grant or promise a donation to a government official or to a counterparty in the private sector to influence official action or obtain an improper advantage.

Fair competition, anti-trust laws and intellectual property rights

  We act in accordance with national and international competition laws.
  We don’t participate in price fixing, market or customer allocation, market sharing or bid riggings with competitors.
  We respect intellectual property rights of others.

Conflicts of interest

  We avoid all conflicts of interest that may adversely influence business relationships.

Respect for the basic human rights of employees

  We promote equal opportunities for and treatment of our employees irrespective of skin color, race, nationality, social background, disabilities, sexual orientation, political or religious conviction, sex or age.
  We respect the personal dignity, privacy and rights of each individual.
 We refuse to employ or make anyone work against his will.
  We refuse to tolerate any unacceptable treatment of employees, such as mental cruelty, sexual harassment or discrimination.
  We refuse to tolerate behaviour that is sexual coercive, threatening, abusive or exploitative is.
  We provide fair remuneration and garantuee the applicable national statutory minimum wage.
  We comply with the maximum number of working hours laid down in the applicable laws.
  We recognize, as far as legally possible, the right of free association of employees and to neither favor nor discriminate against members of employee organizations or trade unions.

Prohibition of child labor

  We won’t employ workers that can’t prove that they are 15 years old.

Health and safety of employees 

  We take responsability for the health and safety of our employees.
  We control hazards and take the best reasonably possible precautionary measures against accidents and occupational diseases.
  We provide training and ensure that employees are educated in health and safety issues.
  We set up or use a reasonable accupational health en safety management system.

Environmental protection

  We take into account the applicable statutory and international standards regarding environmental protection.
  We minimize environmental pollution and make continuous improvements in environmental protection.
  We set up or use a reasonable environmental managment system.

Supply chain

  We use reasonable efforts to promote among our suppliers compliance with this Code of Conduct and they on their turn should promote their suppliers to comply with this Code of Conduct.
   We comply with the principles of non discrimination with the regard to supplier selection and treatment.

Conflict minerals

  We take reasonable efforts to avoid the use of raw materials in our products which directly or indirectly finance armed groups who violate human rights.
